Our family now...and as we begin walking through the adoption process

So I have a friend that suggested I start a blog - especially during this time as we pursue adoption. So here goes - never done this before...and don't know that anyone will even care to read this! :) Maybe this is my version of journaling in a scrapbook...

My life is full of a precious 4-year old little boy. I LOVE being able to stay at home with him during the day, seeing as how he is only in pre-k a few hours each day. I step on little matchbox cars at least once a day - and I wouldn't trade it for the world! He is ALL boy - tumbles and noises included!

J and I have been feeling for quite some time that we would like to enlarge our family. After talking with many doctors, I have been advised not to get pregnant again. Through that time, God has been softening our hearts toward adoption. We have gone back and forth between international and domestic adoption - and are still in the process of gathering information. We have researched and researched - ready to finally begin walking forward! God will open and close doors and we continue on this journey, and we want to be sensitive to HIS leading. We get asked whether we would like to adopt a little boy or girl - and I say it just doesn't matter to us! There are definitely advantages of adopting a little boy - been there, done that! And still have all of the baby clothes to prove it! But little girls are precious, too - as attributed to my beautiful nieces. So whomever God has designed to be a part of our family, we will love and cherish always. Please keep us in your prayers as we walk down this road of adoption. It's scary and exciting at the same time!
